Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity within our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Pricing team for an experienced Senior Pricing Specialist.
This Senior Pricing Specialist role will be responsible for the pricing function of the Direct channel SME and Farm products and work with the stakeholders including portfolio and distribution team.
As a Senior Pricing Specialist, you will specialise in data driven analyses to enable IIA to charge the right premium for the risks we insure. You'll be part of a team that designs, builds, implements, maintains and monitors technical pricing models and contributes to the derivation of go to market premiums.
You'll work with the stakeholders closely and also provide insights which will help to develop strategic pricing initiatives for both the short and long-term future, as well as providing coaching to other analysts in the team through leadership of projects, peer reviews and training sessions.
This role is a permanent, full-time position and can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
About You

• Extensive experience in applying traditional actuarial/technical pricing methods for general insurance classes.
• Proficient in programming with analytical software such as R, Python, SQL and SAS
• Sound knowledge and experience in the general insurance industry, ideally in pricing or commercial insurance product
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present and discuss complex information, analysis, and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines.
