About us
The Government & Media Relations Unit sits within the Office of Deputy Director General Branch in Translink Division. The team manages a large volume of executive, ministerial, and customer communication, correspondence, and enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities
In the role of Principal Advisor - Major Projects, you will support the team by drafting highly complex briefing notes, confidential cabinet submissions, strategy documents and stakeholder presentations. You will offer Government & Media advice to the Major Projects that sit within TMR's Translink Division as well as to the Manager Government & Media Relations.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of business activities and projects and act as a coordination point for the Major Projects that sit within Translink Division, offering government, media and communications advice to relevant teams.
- Liaise with and develop strong, positive relationships with a range of key TMR stakeholders, including media, communications and parliamentary teams, to assist in providing strategic advice and high-level support and expertise to major project areas.
- Coordinate, research, draft, review and facilitate approvals for Ministerial and internal briefing materials.
- Ensure that complex highly sensitive policy topics are well understood via concise and accurate communication.
- Proactively identify potential stakeholder issues and develop mitigation strategies.
