HR Partners by Randstad has an opportunity for a Principal Advisor (Workplace Mental Health) to join our client site in Brisbane's CBD.
About the role:
The Principal Advisor (Workplace Mental Health) manages and oversees the delivery of the management of psychosocial factors, including the development and review of standards, frameworks and guides to achieve the desired Workplace Mental Health culture that underpins the vision and values of the department.
- Lead the response to the Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice 2022, and review of risk assessments and control implementation across all branches and divisions.
- Participate in or facilitate risk assessments and risk workshops with a diverse range of stakeholders to better understand the risk exposure and support the identification of effective controls for psychosocial hazards.
- Mentoring and development of WHS and HR staff to increase their knowledge and understanding of the Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice 2022.
- Management of the restricted incident database and facilitation of monthly meetings with the Sexual Harassment Contact Officers.
- Provide a high standard of specialist advice to senior management, managers, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead the delivery of Workplace Mental Health and EAP reporting to the executive leadership team and at a divisional level.
- Lead key Workplace Mental Health awareness campaigns across through collaboration and partnering with senior leaders as an advocate, change agent and expert in Workplace Mental Health.
- Provide specialist input to the development of safety management system content and the development of Workplace Mental Health learning materials, artefacts and programs.
- Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of education and training on psychosocial hazard identification and effective risk management in accordance with legislative requirements.
About the individual:
- Proven expertise and experience in Workplace Mental Health, including early intervention.
- Understanding of WHS risk management as it applies to psychosocial hazards.
- Experience delivering training and coaching in a relevant field.
- Proficiency with change management and working collaboratively with stakeholders while operating in multidisciplinary teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (for example, behavioral science, workplace health and safety, Mental Health or psychology) will be highly regarded.
