In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting Government efforts to achieve significant milestones in the realm of strategic policy and infrastructure development. Collaborating closely with governmental stakeholders, you will play a vital role in advancing major initiatives such as the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan, Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy, Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, and the Queensland Hydrogen Industry Strategy.
In this role, you will:
Be a valued contributor to a team within Commercial Projects Advisory focused on major resource and energy projects and proposals in Queensland. Specific responsibilities to include:
• Supporting the team by providing input into the delivery of commercial advice to Government agencies and other areas of Queensland Treasury involved in the resource sector an energy transition, including through the elevation of potential projects, commercial analysis of drivers/risks, and negotiations with private sector participants.
• Managing team members and stakeholders to assist in the delivery of projects and outcomes for Queensland Treasury and other Government agencies.
• Assisting with coordinating Queensland Treasury's involvement in whole of government activities and responses relating to hydrogen policy and hydrogen projects.
• Assisting other agencies, or leading a response, when issues arise within sectors or its participants.
• Building a network within the resources and energy sectors.
What experience you will bring:
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Capability to work independently to produce high quality commercial advice to support leadership.
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to present complex commercial concepts and advice concisely and effectively
• Strong understanding of resources and energy policy frameworks within Queensland and nationally.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
