The Department of State Development and Infrastructure is seeking an enthusiastic Principal Communication Strategist to join the Strategic Communications Branch to deliver a range of exciting marketing and communications campaigns. The Principal Communication Strategist creates communication strategies and marketing campaigns based on research and insights that enable the creation of plans and content to achieve departmental objectives. This role contributes to the content planning, creation and execution process and coordinates evaluation of campaigns aligned to their strategies. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, strategy, research and/or communication and experience working with external creative and media agencies.

We are looking for a passionate communications and marketing professional who is able to adapt to changing priorities, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to present, persuade, coach and coordinate team members to align their work around strategies and campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, strategy, research and/or communication and experience working with, and maintaining effective relationships with external suppliers, including creative, research and media agencies.
