Job description
The core capability requirements for this role are:
* Provide strategic communications and engagement advice to inform the Youth Crime Taskforce.
* Evaluate and lead the development of communication and engagement strategies in direct support of the Youth Crime Taskforce and whole of government initiatives.
* Develop quality performance evaluation methodologies to assess the performance of communication strategies implemented on behalf of the Youth Crime Taskforce.
* Prepare and deliver submissions, reports, briefing material, media talking points, speeches and general correspondence for the Assistant Commissioner, Youth Crime Taskforce.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders through professional consultation and negotiation with media representatives, state and local government departments, the private sector and community groups.
* Act in a coordination role between internal and external media stakeholders to deliver advice to the Assistant Commissioner.
* Ensure professional awareness of the latest technologies, techniques and networks available and identify opportunities to improve communication strategies for the Youth Crime Taskforce.
Role Requirements:
* Qualifications and/or experience in journalism and/or corporate communications, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and IAP2 certification will be considered favourably.
