The newly established project team is a small, multidisciplinary team responsible for researching trends, best practice, and emerging issues, and the development and delivery of evidence-based training and resources tailored to the needs of the organisation in relation to prevention, with an initial focus on knife crime and the communication of relevant legislation changes to QPS, relevant businesses and the wider community.

The project team will be based within Community Programs, working closely with other prevention and community engagement teams working to enhance community safety.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Deliver and implement communication and engagement strategies to support QPS initiatives.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of a range of communication and engagement strategies, events and training initiatives.
- Evaluate and review QPS communication and engagement strategies, policies and procedures to determine currency, effectiveness and impact.
- Provide high level strategic communications and engagement advice to QPS members, including the Executive Leadership Team.
- Prepare submissions, reports, briefing material and general correspondence for senior management.
- Maintain and develop effective communication networks with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Qualification
- Qualifications and/or experience corporate communications and project management, will be considered favourably.
- This position may be required to undertake travel within Queensland.
