The Principal Community Services Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating the development, implementation, evaluation and review of partnerships and service planning initiatives involving the department and key stakeholders, including government and non-government agencies, in line with the Youth Justice Strategy.
As Principal Community Service Officer, you will specifically:
- Support the establishment and operation of high level, strategic multi-agency initiatives including Multi-agency Collaborative Panels.
- Develop and lead a strong, integrated multi-agency service system in collaboration with non-government funded and unfunded provider/s, and relevant government agencies at a local level, and conduct planning activities, including service mapping and outcome monitoring and evaluation, to identify potential challenges and enhance service delivery.
- Represent youth justice at regional consultation forums, committees or working groups as required.
- Promote learning and information sharing in relation to services, networks and referral pathways within the community, through site mentoring, delivery of learning and development opportunities, and via the preparation of a range of high quality communication materials.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of strategies that facilitate and sustain the formation of partnerships between the department and key stakeholders within the region and at a local level.
- Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate the effective engagement in the partnership of people, communities and organisations from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
