About the team
The Engineering Design and Standards team is known for its commitment and innovation in engineering excellence, delivering minor to major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. The team consists of dedicated, high performing people within the Water and Wastewater industry.
They provide valuable input in City infrastructure projects from inception, design, construction, and asset management, and are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Engineer (Water and Wastewater) to join their dynamic team.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Advancing our engineering design for Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Undertaking engineering design, documentation, and certification of Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Collaboration and managing water, and Wastewater engineering elements across a variety of complex multiple-disciplinary projects.
- Develop detailed project briefs, scope of works, schedules, and project budgets for effective project planning.
- Provide expert support and advice, including problem resolution, to various stakeholders for the successful completion of Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for people who have
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and, or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant water or wastewater engineering design
- Experience in InfoWorks WS Pro (desirable)
- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of tackling complex challenges.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical proficiency across a broad range of areas in the Water and civil sector
- Skilled at solving complex problems, creating strategic plans, and communicating solutions effectively.
- Innovative and proactive, always looking for new ways to improve.
- The ability to identify and address strategic risks during project delivery.
- A positive attitude and are dedicated to achieving project goals.
