  • Part Time (0.4) - Term Contract (Temporary up to 18 Dec 2024)

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Governance and Policy / Internal Audit team as aPrincipal Legislative and Policy Compliance Officer, where you will be responsible for:

  • Develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate the Legislative and Policy Compliance program.
  • Ensure that systems support organizational compliance with legislation and SA Health Directives.
  • Support owners and key stakeholders in applying Legislative and Policy requirements to work processes.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide expert advice to Executive members, Divisional Directors, and key stakeholders on legislation and Policy requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of the Women’s and Children’s Health Network procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to interpret the meaning of legislation/policy to assess implications within a healthcare setting.
  • Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • Effective analytical and conceptual skills, including the capacity to think and act innovatively.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in management and/or leadership roles especially in leading compliance activities.
  • Knowledge of audit/compliance methodology and risk management principles and processes.
