Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth Fortescue Centre, with site travel to Eliwana. Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday with frequent site travel OR 5:2, 4:3 roster.
Fortescue is seeking an experienced Principal Management Accountant to join a fast paced, dynamic work environment to support Eliwana Mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partnering with the Eliwana mine teams to effectively assist and manage financial performance.
- Coordination and delivery of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts for both Operating and Capital Expenditure.
- Lead the end of month process while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Business partnering to identify and drive value adding opportunities and business improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities and driving change to improve financial systems and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Fortescue accounting policies.
- Develop, mentor and coach Management Accountants within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years experience in Management Accounting roles
- Operational/Site experience preferred.
- Strong financial acumen · Broad understanding of governance principles · Financial reporting · SAP (finance)
- Ability to identify and understand key business drivers to deliver insights opportunities for multiple business units.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
- Finance or Commercial degree · CPA or CA qualifications
- Excellent analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills
- Effective in leading and managing change.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management.
- Ability to lead a team and drive optimal performance.
