Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.

For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

We have an exciting leadership opportunity available in the Enterprise Architecture and Governance Branch as EL2 Director of ICT Project Management Office.
 
The Enterprise Architecture and Governance Branch is the driving force behind our agencys technological advancement. Our goal is to provide clear strategic direction, strong governance, and effective oversight for the planning, delivery, and management of ICT services. We strive to align our efforts with the agencys goals and industry best practices, positioning ourselves as a leader in innovation and transformation.
The Enterprise Architecture Directorate sets the foundation for innovation, ensuring our ICT initiatives align with their vision and meet industry standards.

Where you can add value
The EL2 Director of ICT Project Management Office is responsible for leading the planning and implementation of ICT projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to: 
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and standards are maintained.
  • Managing project budgets, resources, and timelines, while mitigating risks and resolving issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams.

Our ideal candidate has extensive Project Management experience with analytical thinking and problem-solving being some of their key skills. They will have demonstrated leadership experience and skills with an innovative approach that will inspire their team members to strive for the best outcomes. Comprehensive knowledge of ICT systems, infrastructure and applications is pivotal to be successful in this role.

They will have demonstrated experience in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels to drive positive business outcomes. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
