Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively managing Work in Progress (WIP) by overseeing the reconciliation and variance analysis process and ensuring high standard of workpapers with regards to the WIP subledger.
- Managing profit recognition and reporting processes, including providing advice to QBuild business areas on the preparation and analysis of monthly adjustments to recognised profit in accordance with AASB15.
- Providing expert advice and training to internal and external resources on all revenue recognition and other finance related policies and procedures.
- Proactively contributing to the planning and coordination of the annual budget, forecast and other periodic processes, by working in collaboration with Finance staff and QBuild's Business Managers.
- Providing financial analysis, including monitoring and investigation of financial performance against budget for QBuild and its business units, in conjunction with and supporting the Business Managers.
- Assisting with the development of systems, processes and tools for the management accounting function, including profit recognition and work in progress.
- Proactively contributing to the continuous improvement review of work practices, information systems and processes to enhance the financial management function.
