Principal Mining Engineer
As a Principal Mining Engineer, you will assume the role of Team Leader - Open Cut for our small, high-performing contingent of embedded Senior & Mining Engineers. You will also have the ability to lead and complete projects directly, either supporting embedded work or as part of our strategic planning projects. As an intuitive leader, you will bring strong technical competence backed by proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
These attributes lend themselves to someone who may currently be in a Technical Services Manager or Superintendent role, who has an interest in returning to Brisbane. You’ll sharpen your technical and stakeholder skills while maintaining your responsibilities as a leader. The role will be Brisbane based with visits to site as required.
Required experience to be considered:
- Bachelor qualifications in Mining Engineering
- 15+ years working within open cut mining post-graduation
- Demonstrated progression in your career, ideally in a Technical Services Manager or Superintendent role
- Proven leadership skills overseeing engineering teams of 5 members or more
- Ideally obtained your RPEQ accreditation
- Hold Australian working rights
