Join our Government Client as a Student Engineer specializing in Project Planning and Corridor Management. In this role, you'll play a vital part in identifying and safeguarding the future of our state's transport corridors.
Responsibilities:
Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders through verbal and written channels, providing information and advice on traffic operations, preparing technical reports, and responding to public or Ministerial correspondence.
Compliance: Maintain and apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects and works.
Planning Studies: Assist in planning studies by investigating, analyzing, and reviewing traffic and transport options for upgrades and future network developments.
Project Planning: Contribute to the Project Planning program to ensure cost-effective solutions for proposed options within the region.
Corridor Management: Analyze, review, and provide recommendations for third-party works within road corridors, including traffic control permits, public utility and plant works, proposed corridor works, and technical advice on traffic engineering, geotechnical, stormwater, and road safety.
Reporting Structure:
This role reports to the Principal Engineer (Civil) or Principal Advisor (Corridor and Land Management).
Mandatory Requirements:
Currently enrolled in the second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) accredited under the Washington Accord.
Hold a valid Class C driver's license.
