Pavement Management Services (PMS) is a high technology Civil Engineering consultancy specialising in superior quality pavement testing, design, evaluation and management of roads, airports and ports.

We are currently looking for experienced Civil Engineers to join our team.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position with a road survey technology company. Experience in automation is preferred but is not essential.

Essential skills and attributes include:

• Demonstrated skills in laser systems maintenance and operation (road survey industry related)
• Experience in commonly used data management software
• Knowledge of laser sensors, pneumatics and robotic based automation systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages
• Experience in development of procedure manuals and documentation
• Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly and effectively
• Successfully pass Criminal Background Check, Medical and Drugs & Alcohol screening tests

Key Accountabilities will include:

• Acquire and record visual, laser profilometery, spatial and lidar data in accordance with set procedures, specifications and quality assurance requirements using high speed data collection systems.
• Use specialised software to review and critique collected data.
• Maintain and fix issues relating to laser profilometery systems, sensors, video capture systems, spatial information systems, distance measurement units and other electronic control systems associated with ARAN survey vehicles.
• Troubleshoot issues and act as the main point of contact for dealing with contractors on systems maintenance.
• Calibrate automated systems to maximise efficiency and meet regulative standards.
• Analyse existing development or manufacturing procedures and suggest improvements.
• Implement or test design solutions.

This is a full time position and a remuneration package between $70,000 to $95,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
