About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Policy Officer in the Water Security, Policy and Planning Branch. The Principal Policy Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of policy projects related to water security, including the provision of expert policy analysis and management advice. The Principal Policy Officer will lead the development of regional water security strategies and provide advice on water security investment proposals.
The position provides leadership to the development of alliances and cross government working groups with an interest in water management policy and research and promotes mechanisms for building closer relationships between the government and key stakeholders.

Contract:
Contract to 30 June 2026.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class "C" driver's license and willingness to drive is desirable.
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- Interstate travel including overnight absences may be required.
Remuneration:
ASO7 $106,512 min - $115,137 max p.a.
