The Diversity and Inclusion Branch (D&IB) is responsible for promoting and supporting equity, diversity, inclusion and harmonious employee relationships within SAPOL. This will be achieved through a number of strategies including the development and implementation of inclusive workplace policies, processes and training; management of internal workplace behaviour notifications and the conduct of complex and or critical workplace behaviour investigations relation to bullying, harassment, discrimination, victimisation and predatory behaviours.
The Senior Policy Officer leads the Policy and Development Unit within Diversity and Inclusion Branch and is accountable to the Head of Diversity and Inclusion for leading the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of complex strategies, projects and tools that support diversity and inclusion. Through the application of extensive knowledge, the incumbent will be required to identify and establish initiatives that build knowledge, capability and accountability to foster an inclusive workplace where diversity flourishes.
The Senior Policy Officer will also provide policy advice to SAPOL senior management and other employee groups including responding to enquiries raised in relation to specific notifications and correspondence received by D&IB relating to diversity and inclusion issues.
The Senior Policy Officer will contribute to the development and delivery of corporate and local workplace training programs.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO7 - $106,512 - $115,137 per annum.
