In this position you will:- Partner strategically with senior managers in business divisions to deliver high quality future focused procurement initiatives and services that support business objectives and transformational change within the Department.- Provide high level advice and support to senior managers managing procurement projects.- Provide guidance to a small team of procurement professionals to assist them deliver quality, best practice procurement advice and client service.- Provide expert advice, particularly for high level, complex matters across a range of procurement related areas including contract development and management, procurement strategies, offer evaluation, and consultants/contractors.- Plan, design and implement strategic procurement initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness.- Provide high level support to senior leaders in the management of relationships and delivery of services provided by outsourced providers, and whole-of-Government procurement policy agencies, such as Procurement Transformation Division, and whole-of-Government procurement networks.- Develop a range of procurement plans and policies as required by the Queensland Procurement Policy, including the department's Local Procurement Instructions, Corporate Procurement Plan, and Forward Procurement Schedule and ensure that these are aligned with the Department's strategic direction.- Assist with the development and implementation of a departmental contract management system.- Enhance organisational and whole-of-Government decision making through appropriate collection, analysis and reporting of procurement data and statistics.- Market the procurement services and contribute to strengthening the capabilities of line managers in procurement and contract management.Job Ad Reference: QLD/545332/24Closing Date: Wednesday, 28 February 2024
