We are an established Gold Coast business of over 20 years and have forged strong relationships with local utility providers. We are currently undertaking a number of large maintenance & renewals programs, as well as continuing to deliver key pipeline projects with local Government Authorities.
The Role
NTS Group is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our project execution team. As the Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in administering our procurement policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining procurement records to ensure costs are controlled and good corporate governance is achieved.
As a civil construction company NTS Group work Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm (remuneration to suit) and as such we are searching for an individual who is able to keep up with the fast-paced requirements of civil construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the project execution team in sourcing and procuring materials to deliver projects.
- Implement and administer procurement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Lead tender processes and assess offers from suppliers/subcontractors for engaged services.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on criteria including quality, cost and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal terms for the company.
- Review purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, dockets and contracts.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in procurement/purchasing for large scale construction projects.
- Proven expertise in sourcing suppliers, expediting, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with online database software packages.
- A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field would be highly desired.
