About Your Opportunity
As the Principal Program Controls you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the program performance process. You will be responsible for implementing program control strategies, monitoring project performance, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance overall program efficiency and success.
This role is responsible for:
Working closely with project management teams to establish realistic project schedules, track progress and implement adjustments to meet deadlines.
Leading and coordinating forecasting activities including direct and indirect costs covering labour, materials, equipment, and contractors and provide in-depth cost analysis, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Undertaking regular reviews of project performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and present strategies and options to mitigate program risks.
Leading and coordinating the reporting of program and project performance to stakeholders, providing regular updates on program costs, schedule, interdependencies, risks, and mitigation plans through tracking, analysis and performance feedback.
Working collaboratively with other Project Management Office and corporate functions, and the Portfolio Office, to implement comprehensive program control strategies to optimise project planning, scheduling and execution.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essentials
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as finance, project management or commercial management.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
High level of demonstrated experience in strategic and innovative project and program cost controls.
Desirables
Qualification in Project Management
Demonstrated experience in combining best practices, industry trends, methodology knowledge, and experience to achieve the best approach and solution.
Experience in water infrastructure projects.
This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full time position
