As a Principal Program Officer, you will coordinate and lead a small team to provide accurate financial analysis, modelling and advice in relation to community housing providers, local governments and market proponents as they make proposals to develop, construct, acquire/deliver additional social and affordable housing supply into Queensland.
You will also coordinate corporate reporting, high quality ministerial and executive correspondence and media for a program of capital grant projects.
What you will be doing:
- Provide financial, contractual and policy advice and recommendations regarding market proposals for the delivery of additional social and affordable housing.
- Build and share professional networks to support the delivery of new supply, including State, Federal and Local Governments, financiers, industry bodies, community housing providers, and not-for-profits.
- Maintain data integrity and perform regular reviews to ensure quality and accurate data is collected for business analysis and reporting purposes.
- Provide professional, expert and timely advice to colleagues and senior management to inform strategy, direction and solutions to problems.
- Develop and lead procurement activities to ensure fair and transparent processes are released to market on behalf of government.
- Guide the department's investment in social housing in partnership with the community housing sector through the assessment of housing assistance projects that are robust, evidence based and represent value for money.
- Think critically on the job and operate independently or as part of a small team.
- Apply your acquired knowledge of the Housing Act 2003 and relevant regulations to community housing proposals.
