Access theAs the Principal Program Officer, you will specifically:
- Manage, monitor, and review projects, programs and systems which directly support the implementation of government priorities and programs, support collaboration with industry and community stakeholders, and focus on training outcomes and pathways that are directly linked to employment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a range of operational policies and practices which facilitate and support best practice in all areas of corporate governance across the operations of the department, including program delivery.
- Carry out performance reporting and analysis, including the use of contemporary recording and reporting frameworks to inform strategic decision making, financial/resource management and local planning processes.
- Provide a key supervisory and active leadership role through mentoring and coaching activities to support performance management and professional development of staff and team members.
- Represent the department at a variety of forums, working parties and committees, establish networks, and build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers, letters, speeches, and promotional materials and maintain detailed, accurate and up to date distribution and stakeholder databases.
