The Principal Program Officer key responsibilities are:
- Implement the Sunshine Coast Central's Regional DFV Strategy to improve domestic and family violence practice outcomes
- Lead a team of WWD project officers (based in different Child Safety Centres) in delivering the WWD program. This includes human resource management, supervision and professional development.
- Liaise with community stakeholders at a local level including the community based perpetrator intervention programs and facilitate participation in local level initiatives
- Foster a culture and philosophy of service delivery, cooperation, team work, high quality people management, commitment to excellence and a professional ethic which ensures the WWD team meet the department's vision, values and priorities.
- Ensure that WWD is responsive to the specific needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who experience domestic and family violence.
- Provide authoritative and specialist advice about the WWD process and actively lead continuous improvement of the WWD program, including program reporting and active participation in the evaluation.
Working relationships in this role:
This role reports to the Director Quality Practice (Sunshine Coast Central Region) and directly supervises WWD workers based in the relevant Child Safety Centres.
This role consults and collaborates with various stakeholders in the ongoing governance, review, evaluation and improvement of WWD.
