About the RolesThe
Project Field Officer will complete the Emergency Alerting Service (EAS)
Pager Replacement Program for multiple Emergency Service organisations.
Some of your key duties will include:- Working closely with Emergency Service organisations, their staff and volunteers to ensure that their operational communications devices are in place to support Statewide emergency response operations.
- Providing new pagers and programming them to users' profiles
- Returning replaced pagers to the supplier
- This role will require extensive travel across all of Victoria and will necessitate overnight stays for the duration of the schedule (Monday to Friday)
- Accommodation, vehicle (shared) and meals will be provided (Meals by reimbursement).
About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:- Demonstrated skills in fault diagnosis and service restoration in paging systems equipment or in equipment of similar complexity.
- Sound written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to write documents in relation to technical investigations or projects and update databases.
- Proficient in management of program/project co-ordination using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365.
- Competent understanding in the use of a resource management system (will be highly regarded).
- Knowledge of government and/or emergency services and their Volunteers (will be highly regarded).
- A full Victorian drivers licence (Mandatory).
- Skills in the development and/or installation and decommissioning of communications technologies, particularly paging devices (will be highly regarded).
- Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to multitask.
