About the role
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Principal Project Manager for our Deeper Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF) at Penfield – a $200M purpose-built facility including a 240m-long, 25m-high four-bay hangar that will be used to service military aircraft operated by the Commonwealth Department of Defence.

In this role, you will lead and oversee the delivery of this initial project, and future large complex projects, taking charge of all facets of project planning, execution, and delivery. Your responsibilities will include ensuring strict adherence to strategic and operational objectives, project timelines, budgets, and service performance measures. If you have a proven track record of managing projects effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic project plans that align with organizational objectives, driving purposeful outcomes.
• Offer expert guidance in project management methodologies to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.
• Cultivate effective stakeholder relationships, fostering communication and collaboration throughout projects.
• Monitor project progress, budget utilization, and resource allocation, ensuring transparency and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for successful project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and efficiency in achieving project objectives.
• Deliver high-quality briefings, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders for informed decision-making.

About you
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and adept Project Manager capable of overseeing large, complex projects from start to finish. They align project goals with organizational objectives, foster continuous improvement, and excel in stakeholder management. Diligent in monitoring progress and mitigating risks, they inspire teams and provide stakeholders with timely information for decision-making. Overall, they possess the essential blend of strategic acumen, project management skills, and leadership qualities needed for successful project delivery. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience required.
