Your new opportunity The Principal Project Officer, Major Project Facilitation works with a team to provide unique investment approaches to high profile businesses and stakeholders delivering complex and technical projects. Engaging across government, the private sector and government-owned corporations, the Principal Project Officer identifies site options, addresses business case requirements, navigates approval pathways and delivers supporting infrastructure. The Investment Facilitation unit within the Investment team works with proponents of complex and high impact projects to engage with government, solve problems and make decisions through the project development life, leading to accelerated project delivery and increase the likelihood of project success. In this role, you will: Provide project facilitation services to private sector proponents involving coordination and issues resolution with relevant local, State and Commonwealth agencies, infrastructure providers and other key stakeholders, especially in relation to regulatory approval pathways. Develop and maintain positive working relationships across government and effective engagement with the private sector to support project investment initiatives. Support management in negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders on investment proposals by undertaking research and analysis on project business cases and funding options. Prepare accurate and timely reports, briefings, submissions and other documentation on complex project and investment issues and the status of major projects receiving investment facilitation services.
