The role
You will use your high-level technical expertise in the development of software for the Laboratory Information System applications, AUSLAB, AUSCARE and Evolution vLAB. for Queensland Health divisions including the Pathology Queensland state-wide network, the Queensland Health Public Health and Environmental Laboratory and the Qld Health Forensic Laboratory.
The position will also ensure the maintenance of defined service levels for enterprise Laboratory Information Systems by providing customer focused service delivery management, high level specialist advice and support.
Are you right for this role?
To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience and proven working knowledge of software development and support within large organisations, with a minimum 3 years' experience using the following languages: C, C++, C#, VB and scripting languages or similar, or the demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of these languages.
• Highly Desirable to have experience in the following Areas:

• Agile development environment using SCRUM and Kanban
• Application Insights
• Service Now
• Code / peer reviews

• Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to present and promote realistic software solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders and customers.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities.
• Proven ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by managing workloads, priorities and working unsupervised (NHS Drive for Results)
• High level knowledge of scientific or laboratory practice and associated laboratory information systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes is desirable.
