Following the announcement that the current Principal, Mr Chris Mayes, will retire at the end of this year after ten years of outstanding service, EREA Colleges Ltd invites applications for the role of Principal of St Patrick’s College, Shorncliffe, for commencement in January 2025.
Established in 1952, St Patrick’s College currently enrols over 1,420 boys from Year 5 to Year 12. In the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice, the College is situated on the picturesque shores of Moreton Bay. The St Patrick’s experience, through innovative and engaging education programs, fosters learning in a culture enriched by pastoral care and camaraderie, where young men are encouraged to be 'men of action', striving for excellence together.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional credentials as a Catholic educator, demonstrating a proven record of successful and highly relational leadership. He or she will be capable of cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability across all aspects of the College, with a strong interest in learning and teaching, as well as student formation and wellbeing.
The successful applicant will be a relational leader who can demonstrate:
- an understanding of the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice as articulated in the Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition;
- the ability to lead a Catholic education community with authenticity and commitment;
- successful experience in a leadership position at a senior level (e.g. Principal, Deputy Principal, College Dean, CEO Senior Officer);
- relevant teaching qualifications and post-graduate qualifications in Education, Leadership, Religious Education or Theology;
- a high level of competency in the domains of leadership.
