Job description

Our People & Places Solutions business - reinforces our drive to improve the lives of people everywhere and epitomizes the "why" of what we do - the tremendous positive impact and value our solutions bring to our communities and society as a whole. From facilities delivering life-saving therapies and ensuring clean water to enabling the connection of people through all modes of transportation and providing access to technology - we're integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build the smart environments of tomorrow.
Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow.
Your Impact:
At Jacobs, what we do is more than a job; we work every day to make the world better for all. We are empowering our clients to deliver smarter, more sustainable, and more affordable solutions for tomorrow. From optimising asset performance to developing robust strategic programs, from planning Australia's next suburban smart town to protecting vulnerable countries against rising oceans - we are committed to aiming higher in all that we do because what we do counts.
The Principal Strategy and Transformation role supports the Strategy and Transformation Capability Lead and provides thought leadership and breakthrough approaches to new Strategy and policy development, as well as transformative change at the sector and organisational levels. The role is responsible in supporting clients in achieving performance excellence and advancing their strategies to respond to environmental, social and economic challenges. You will have a key role in the development and execution of growth strategies whilst leveraging off your expertise in Strategy and Transformation.
At Jacobs, a 'Principal' is one of our most experienced leaders. You will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs' core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across your Capability that embodies Jacobs' Culture of Caring. You will use your strong stakeholder engagement skills and extensive knowledge of clients and markets to understand and develop the solutions that clients need and leverage the collective expertise of your team to articulate and deliver those solutions.
You will work closely and collaboratively with other Principals, Capability and Section Leaders, Growth and Sales, Market Solutions, and global network to grow our capability across key markets, engaging with clients and external parties to understand and drive demand for the Capability in new and non-traditional markets. You will set clear direction and provide a strong role model regarding client focus and responsiveness. Additionally, your client relationships will help ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs.
The Principal Strategy and Transformation is responsible for driving the commercial performance of the Capability and Performance Units (billability and margin), ensuring the high quality and commercial viability of services provided to the market. You will develop new offerings to bring to the market and hone the value proposition for our clients. Additionally, you will provide direction to project teams, coach and develop our people, and ensure the growth of our capability and market share. With your help, we will seize the opportunity to partner with clients and make a collective impact greater than the sum of our parts.
The role is boundaryless, and the Capability Lead will contribute to the leadership of Jacobs' Strategic Consulting and Advisory business across ANZ, Asia, and the Middle East, as required. #LI-AP1
Here's What You'll Need:
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to Strategy and/or Business Transformation, as well as consulting or equivalent experience.
- A passion for people leadership and the ability to drive a team culture of diversity and inclusivity.
- Extensive experience in strategy development and delivery of transformative change, including a strong client network and understanding of the latest trends and innovations.
- A strategic and innovative mindset, coupled with strong business acumen and leadership capabilities (mentoring and coaching).
- Strong communication, co-design and collaboration skills with the ability to activate relationships both internally and externally within our organisation.
