The Print Team Lead will work with our Production Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the printing team by organising resources and coordinating workflows whilst maintaining exceptional quality standards.
About the Role
The key responsibilities for the Print Team Lead include:
- Coordinating production workflows to ensure swift and accurate production of heat transfers
- Leading team members, ensuring correct resourcing and coverage to maintain optimum production outputs
- Working with the Production Manager to communicate and resolve production delays or problems
- Overseeing printers to ensure a high standard of print quality
- Training printers on printing principles and machine operation
- Managing deadlines to ensure jobs are produced and finished on time
- Mixing inks to client colour specifications
- Product testing and new product development
- Ordering print consumables and maintaining stock levels
- Undertaking regular equipment maintenance
- Contributing to Team Leader meetings.
About You
To this role, you'll bring:
- Strong experience in screen printing and working with Plastisol inks, ideally supported by a trade qualification
- Experience in a Team Lead position, or in a role with significant Team Leadership responsibilities
- Strong organisational abilities, including the ability to organise workflows to meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive, can-do attitude - whether it's greasing a machine or developing a new product, you're keen to get it done!
