Skytek is a leading maintenance and repair organisation (MRO), specialising in fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Our heavy maintenance facility is based in Cairns, North Queensland where an exciting opportunity now exists for highly motivated individuals to join our Stores and Logistics Team.
The Role - Procurement and Logistics Manager
Duties and Responsibilities include -
- Management of stores and Logistics team
- Procurement of aviation parts in support for Engineering
- Handling of international and domestic freight - booking, tracking, collecting
- Packaging and freighting materials
- high-level of customer assistance
- comply with and enforce stores and airline security measures
- Periodic stock takes and regular stock control
- All other stores duties for parts as directed
Knowledge, Skills and qualification
- Training and experience in Microsoft Package
- Experience in aircraft stores operations essential min 5 years
- Experience in Procurement and warehouse operations min 5 years
- Experience leading a team, min 5 years
- Ability to hold airside security clearance
- Ability to hold ASIC
- Drivers license essential
- Forklift license preferred
- Dangerous Good Certificate preferred
- Must have good written and oral communications skills
