What will you do?

We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Purchasing coordinator wanting to take their buying experience to the next level and learn everything from the ground up to join our team based at our Head office in Moorabbin. Working in a fun, high paced environment- your attention to detail, effective planning and communication skills will see you become an integral member of the team. As the Procurement and Purchasing coordinator your role will be to support the Buyers in administrative tasks, replenishment, shipping, and quality control and in return, you will slowly learn all you need to know to take your buying career to new heights.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to)-

  • Produce, analyse and communicate product fulfillment forecasts
  • Developing Forecast Models based on industry trends, historical data, and demand patterns to predict future demand accurately.
  • Actively work to reduce and eliminate aged inventory
  • Map and plan yearly seasonal programs 
  • Manage inbound stock - from shipment plan prior shipment, shipping documents and update data into our system.
  • Follow inventory critical path timelines to ensure stock arrives and meets our customer’s demands
  • Maintain product categories and product phase
  • Liaise with design team to manage packaging deadlines
  • Assist our Buyers in sourcing, developing and evaluating new products
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers
  • Assist Buyers with creating new PO’s

A bit about you….

  • 3+ years proven experience in a fast-paced buying role (wholesale preferably)
  • Strong administration and computer skills (advanced excel skills are a non-negotiable!)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, advanced time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a time critical environment
  • Highly proactive with a solution focused attitude
  • Advanced communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in inventory management practices, statistics, and forecasting methods.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical understanding of operations in an FMCG business preferred.
