This opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement within the Procurement Team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to manage commercial engagements with vendors and partners to drive value for the TPG Telecom Enterprise & Government business unit.
The successful candidate will provide procurement and commercial lifecycle support to the business. This will include influencing stakeholders at all levels, shaping business requirements to match market capabilities ensuring optimal outcomes for the TPG business.
Procurement activity will range from the sourcing of key strategic partners for large complex projects through to smaller scale engagements supporting requirements across a variety of contracting models and arrangements.
This role is an integral part of the procurement team and will partner closely with cross functional teams to establish and maintain commercial relationships with partners and vendors to offer solutions to TPG's business customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex vendor engagements across the Enterprise & Government portfolio working closely with the relevant business owners to deliver optimal value to TPG ensuring our dealings with vendors meet the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Represent procurement as required in bid and project teams.
- Identify and manage the delivery of savings and cost reduction initiatives without compromising business objectives or quality or service/scope.
- Manage and lead RFx processes across multiple categories.
- Lead regular reviews of supplier arrangements to ensure the fulfilment of all contractual obligations, the delivery of business value and the resolution of any disputes or non-compliance.
- Provide commercial advice in relation to managing the lifecycle of vendors and their contractual agreements.
- Responsibility for maintaining a consolidated vendor base, leveraging scale and value and managing non-performing or redundant vendors.
- Review and approval of purchase requisitions within certain categories to ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements.
- Demonstrating best practice procurement and implementing strategies across various business areas and spend categories.
- Support initiatives related to procurement transformation processes and systems improvement.
- Commercial Degree qualified or equivalent desirable.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial arrangements.
- Demonstrated success within a Business Partnering role.
- Strong understanding of the vendor lifecycle with knowledge of partnering arrangements.
- Solutions focussed with strong commercial acumen/analytical skills.
- Experience delivering savings and cost avoidance activities through negotiation and scope discussion.
- Proven experience managing and leading RFx processes.
- Experience within a corporate procurement environment with sound understanding of purchasing policies and processes.
- ERP experience.
- Telco experience preferred but not essential.
