Duties
Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor, the focus of this position is to:
- Responsible for the provision of specialist advice on a range of procurement categories to stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives.
- Maintain and review the FMIS procurement catalogues to ensure organisational procurement is measurable, monitorable, and reportable against adopted Council reporting structure.
- Deliver technical, procedural, and application training in procurement to support the organisational business objectives and outcomes.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:
- Certificate IV in Procurement/Contracting or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in providing high level procurement advice to a large multi-functional government organisation.
- Demonstrated 3+ years of experience providing advice and support in procurement processes including tenders, quotations, and expressions of interest in a Local Government Environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting Local Government NSW tendering legislation.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
