Procurement Buyer

We at Chandler Macleod are seeking a Procurement Buyer to support the Procurement Team and Senior Buyer, with all procurement, sourcing, supply chain and other related & administrative tasks, as necessary, to make the local & global business a success. This role is 100% on-site, a 12-month max-term, ongoing contract with role going permanent subjective to performance.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain quotations, source direct & indirect items, spare parts, negotiations, cost savings, prepare Purchase Orders, issue POs, vendor creation support, track and expedite, logistics & aftersales support, payment terms, etc.
• Familiarise and be up to speed with all projects, attend project meetings as necessary, and provide necessary procurement/supply chain support.
• Build good working relationships with all vendors, in the spirit of partnership, so that they are well engaged.
• Actively engage in and support all supply chain & logistics initiatives, to deliver projects and customer satisfaction.
• Support Senior Buyer, Manager and Team, to the best of one’s ability, in completing all tasks assigned.
• Ensure processes, records and documentation are up to date and entered in Quality and Information Management Systems (QMS/IMS).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Commerce or similar.
• 1-2 Years of experience, in automotive or other manufacturing industry (highly preferred).
• Mandarin skills - this is a definite advantage & highly desirable.
• Demonstrated flexibility, attention to detail and some level of commercial awareness.
• The ability to develop strong working relationships with the rest of the wider team.
• Experience of having worked in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAGE ERP is desirable, although not essential.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Good problem-solving skills, in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
