We seek a Junior Procurement Buyer – After-sales for an exciting opportunity with our client, an established international truck manufacturer (hydrogen power transmissions) based in the South-eastern suburbs of Melbourne (Noble Park). The successful candidate will support the Procurement Team and Senior Buyer, with all procurement, sourcing, supply chain and administrative tasks to make the local/global business a success. Responsibilities:Obtain quotations, source direct /indirect items, spare parts, negotiations, cost savings, prepare Purchase Orders, issue POs, vendor creation support, track and expedite, logistics & after-sales support, payment terms.Assist in the development and improvement of Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC).Familiarise with all projects, attend project meetings as necessary, and provide necessary procurement/supply chain support.Build good working relationships with all vendors so that they are well engaged and actively support the client’s initiatives.Actively engage in and support all supply chain and logistics initiatives, to deliver projects and customer satisfaction.Support Senior Buyer, Manager and the team (overseas/China), to the best of one’s ability, in completing all tasks assigned.Ensure processes, records and documentation are up to date and entered in the Quality and Information Management Systems (QMS/IMS). Qualification, skills and experience:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Engineering, Commerce or similar. 1year work experience, in manufacturing (automotive preferred) in Australia.Experience proving After Sales Support to clients Good understanding of procurement, purchasing, materials scheduling and supply chain & logistics.Speaking mandarin, Dutch or German (highly regarded)Enthusiasm for work, interest in green energy, integrity, diligence & willingness to work hard.Demonstrated flexibility, attention to detail and some level of commercial awareness.The ability to develop strong working relationships with the rest of the wider team.Experience of having worked in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Good problem-solving skills, in a fast-changing environment.Strong communication skills - both written and verbalFull working rights in Australia.
