Senior Buyer - Strategic Procurement

Due to ongoing organisational growth and transformation, this Australian success story is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead new procurement and commercial agreements, and to identify new ways of sourcing and new suppliers in a competitive international market.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing procurement and contract/commercial management strategies for new vendors internationally
• You will demonstrate a passion for high quality products, through your procurement and relationship management activities, and growing and maintaining your strategic partnerships
• Providing ongoing contracts negotiation management and superior supplier relationship management, ensuring quality and sustainability targets are met
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to shape the growth and strategic direction of the business
• Influencing internal stakeholders in a business experiencing rapid growth and positive change

Key Requirements

• Experience in developing and implementing procurement and commercial strategies, ideally in a manufacturing, retail or distribution environment
• Superior negotiation and supplier relationship management skills - the ability to establish long term frameworks and strategic partnerships with largely overseas suppliers
• International travel required, particularly to China
• You will be hands-on and adaptable, keen to learn about your new industry and experience the quality of this company’s products firsthand
