Form of workMy client is a major ASX listed financial services institution with several well-known brands in their portfolio. There are 2x Category Manager opportunities available to join the ever-growing Technology and Transformation procurement function on a permanent basis. One position will be focused on tech infrastructure and the alternative position will be focused on data insurance technology.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies with a major focus on risk mitigation.
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
* Lead the sourcing process, from supplier selection and evaluation to contract negotiation and awarding.
* Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, setting performance standards, and conducting regular performance reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations, to understand their needs and ensure the procurement strategy supports overall business objectives.
Key Requirements
* Tertiary education is highly desirable, with a Procurement & Supply Chain focus or an Information Technology, Business or Commerce related degree.
* Experienced procurement professional with minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement or Vendor Management specifically in the IT category.
* Previous experience in a highly regulated environment abiding to APRA standards - previous experience in the financial services industry is highly regarded.
* Understand compliance and regulatory requirements and ensure relevant structures and processes are adhered to avert any compliance issues for the group.
* Strong stakeholder management, contract management, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
