About the Role
The Procurement team at UTS has been expanding in the last 6 months with several enthusiastic new members ready to welcome the Procurement Category Manager for IT.
The Procurement Category Manager - IT is a senior level role responsible for the overall management of a nominated Procurement Category, including the development of and compliance to the category strategies and ensuring these are aligned to the department and UTS business objectives during a period of significant change in the IT teams.
About You
As the Procurement Category Manager - IT, you will have:
• Prior experience and success in strategic procurement, category management and contract management in a major organisation, university
or Government.
• Advanced procurement knowledge and in depth understanding across the IT category.
• Ability to interpret and negotiate contracts
• High level of commercial acumen with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to influence and challenge to ensure successful outcomes.
• A passion to learn and a willingness to challenge
• Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholder at all levels.
• Proven capability to operate in and support a changing Procurement environment.
• A tertiary qualification and relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Remuneration
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
