Reporting into the Head of Procurement and Sourcing as part of the Corporate Services team, the Procurement & Contract Administrator will be responsible for leading contracting activities, including developing and negotiating timely and quality proposals leading to contract administration/execution. This role will frequently manage key internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on complex contractual interpretations and negotiations.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Ensure effective utilisation of RSL Queensland’s Contracts Repository – Epona CMS, ensuring proper governance is maintained
- Support commercial negotiations of contracts including the collation of finalised terms and conditions and schedules of works
- Assist with the delivery and analysis of procurement reporting relating to cost savings, enhanced revenue, improved processes and increased productivity
- Support vendor management to ensure high-quality services and out-puts in contracts
- Ensure procedural compliance of the procurement process and support Contract Managers
We are looking for someone who is starting out in their procurement career, or who has a passion for upskilling in this space. It will suit someone who is customer focussed with strong attention to detail and driven towards quality outcomes.
- Tertiary Qualification in business not mandatory, but highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in (1-2 years’) working within a commercial /procurement environment also highly regarded
- Knowledge of procurement, commercial and financial activities within a commercial business environment
- Knowledge of contract management systems
- Attention to detail and experience in understanding, collating, and reporting on procurement / financial related data
- Demonstrated organisational skills and able to work in a team environment
- Well-developed written and oral interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven commitment to quality outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
