Atlas Iron is an Australian owned Iron Ore company, mining and exporting direct shipping ore from its operations in WA’s Pilbara Region. We have 3 operating mines at the moment, Mt Webber, Sanjiv Ridge and Miralga Creek Operations, we are also expanding into exciting new areas for the future. To support our expanding Operations, we are seeking applications for an outstanding individual to make a difference in our growing Procurement team. This is a Job Share role and will be from 1 to 2 full days per week (negotiable).
About the role
Reporting into the Supervisor Procurement, the primary purpose of the Procurement Coordinator role is to provide a high level of support to the business to ensure vendors are managed effectively and to ensure the accuracy of business partner and material master data in the ERP system and to provide general administrative support to the procurement team as required from time to time.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Promote and adhere to Company internal methodologies, policies, procedures, and standards by consistently maintaining a high quality of work across all allocated functions.
- Manage the material list in the ERP system, creating new materials and ensuring amendments are actioned efficiently.
- Manage the vendor onboarding process by issuing Felix, Vendor Management System (Felix) invitations to vendors, assisting the vendor with any queries during the application process, assessing the submission received and creating the business partner record in the ERP system.
- Actively manage and improve Felix, keeping up to date on new enhancements and implementing these to the Atlas system, as required.
- Monitor and respond to cold call vendors in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain procedural documents and work instructions for key tasks to ensure business continuity in periods of unplanned absence.
- Provide planned and unplanned leave coverage for the Receipting Officer, processing freight requests and goods receipt entries accurately and efficiently.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 12 months in a procurement administration role, or similar.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to develop relationships and drive favourable outcomes.
- Significant organisational and teamwork skills with an ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work without supervision.
- Strong customer service ethic and problem-solving skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with overall high attention to detail and accuracy.
