Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to oversee our procurement activities. Reporting to the commercial manager ,the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
This is a full-time role based in our Kings Park Road Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance and support.
- observe construction/mining industry trends and supplier capabilities to identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
