We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as a part of our manfacturing team, reporting to the Operations Manager. The role will plan and support optimal inventory levels to ensure maximum service and minimal cost to the business whilst driving sucessful execution of procurement strategies. You will effectively manage inventory levels of our product range to ensure availability as per cyclical demand and ensure orders are placed in a timely manner so that customers DIFOT targets are met. As a hands on leader you will collaborate with other departments and support your staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for the Customer.
You will provide a high level of service to the company and its clients, and ensure you operate within our best practice standards, helping the company to become the industry leader in our field.
Duties for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating the end-to-end supply of materials and hardware to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Raising purchase orders on vendors for specific demand requirements and expediting orders.
- Provide status reporting on orders including recommendations for expediting.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to coordinate all supply activities (e.g. quality inspections, logistics etc.) required to complete the delivery of the purchased items.
- Reporting, coordinating and monitoring vendor non-conformance.
- Building relationships with suppliers for mutual benefit.
- Assisting in monthly financials and reports in relation to purchasing.
- Timely processing of stock take forms and variance reports to ensure accurate physical stock and stock on hand.
- New supplier development by sourcing items on a local, national and international scale.
- Implementation and management of purchasing, stock and logistics procedures.
- Providing reports and additional support to senior management, as and when required.
- Supervise warehouse and logistics staff.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Jobman program experience required
- Exposure to manufacturing operations and processes (e.g. fabrication, machining and/or FMCG).
- Able to manage competing demands with the ability to work towards tight deadlines in a high pressure environment.
- Highly organized, motivated and results focused.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with and influence all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Enjoys working in a cross-functional and diverse environment.
- A track record of taking on additional tasks and showing high levels of initiative.

- Supply Chain Management Qualifications.
