The Drake Group is currently embarking on an exciting period of transformation and growth and as such, we are now accepting applications from experienced Procurement & Inventory Managers to join our team based in Wacol! With over 60 years of combined engineering and manufacturing experience, we create cutting-edge, high-quality products for both local and international markets.
As the Group’s Procurement and Inventory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives across the Drake group of companies. You will be responsible for ensuring all business units meet their strategic objectives through effective procurement and inventory management practices. This position will suit applicants with a strategic mindset, emphasizing analysis, collaboration, commercial acumen, continuous improvement, and waste reduction.
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to meet the company's operational and financial objectives
- Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures
- Oversee the entire procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities
What we are looking for:
- Qualification in Business or Supply Chain Management or similar
- Demonstrated experience managing $10million + in inventory
- Previous experience in a similar role – preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse and present data and make informed decisions
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
