Continuing its growth and transformation, an opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic, results driven Procurement & Inventory Manager to join the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Procurement & Inventory Manager will be a key influential member of the national leadership team. They will play a crucial role in optimising procurement, supply chain and inventory operations to meet customer demands efficiently whilst minimising costs and maximising company profitability.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Managing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery to ensure efficient and timely movement of stock
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand and implementing strategies to optimise inventory turnover.
  • Warehousing and Distribution: overseeing warehouse operations for both Bathurst and Mackay locations.
  • Vendor Management: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and third parties to negotiate and ensure quality and cost effective services.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, reducing costs and improving the overall efficiency within the logistics function.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and motivating the logistics team by providing guidance, training and ensuring departmental goals are met.
About You

Success in this role will come from demonstrated experience in inventory, procurement, logistics and supply chain management in an industrial, manufacturing or wholesaling team environment. Specifically you will need:

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead cross functional teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions with a results-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to meeting customer expectations by ensuring on-time delivery, accurate order fulfilment and exceptional service levels
  • Ability to travel domestically on a regular basis and internationally on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Whilst not essential, qualifications in procurement, supply chain or relevant commercial disciplines will be highly regarded.
