We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join our team in a Category Management role within Fuel Services Branch, located in Sydney CBD.
You will be accountable for:
- Undertaking moderately complex logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce
- Application of relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements
- Application of Commonwealth Financial and Procurement Framework, its procedures and compliance obligations to perform simple category management and associated procurement activities
- Building and sustaining productive relationships with team members and actively participating in team work and group activities
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders to initiate improvements, address enquiries and resolve complex category management issues
- Assessing risks and participating in the implementation of mitigation strategies.
The team provides valuable capability support to Defence by ensuring the ongoing availability of fuels, oils and lubricants to Defence assets both in country and overseas. We strategically procure products into the Joint Logistics Command warehouse network and arrange direct delivery of product to assets.Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate:
- Has experience in category management and/ or end-to-end supply chain operations
- Has experience in identifying and implementing timely outcome-based solutions to complex problems
- Enjoys working independently and also as a team player in a dynamic team environment
- Has strong stakeholder management and people skills
- Is proficient in the use of Supply Chain Procurement System/s (eg MILIS - MINCOM system, or ERP-SAP system), and MS Office - or can demonstrate an ability to undertake substantial training to be proficient in these systems within 4-month timeframe.
