Procurement & Inventory Manager I Full Time (Mon-Fri)

Our Noosa store is one of the largest sporting goods stores in Queensland and are proud to be a locally owned and operated business. Due to our continual growth, we are now seeking a motivated Procurement & Inventory Manager to join our team.
About the role:
This new role will require the successful applicant to develop and implement procurement strategies, and inventory management to support the stores ongoing growth and store targets. You will be responsible for managing the procurement process, inventory management and building relationships with suppliers.
In this key role, you will:
- Develop, implement and review procedures to ensure best practice for inventory management is achieved
- Manage purchase orders for inventory required and in alignment with seasonal orders, and orders are placed on time and stock levels are effectively managed
- Conduct detailed analysis to support purchasing, inventory, and new product initiatives.
- Investigate and correct any stock discrepancies
- Analyse and provide forecasts and reports for fast selling and slow-moving products.
- Maintain accuracy of inventory and supplier information in the REX system
- Ensure any returns are tracked, replaced, or resupplied in a timely manner, whilst dealing with suppliers on these issues.
- Management of annual stock takes.
- Place standard & specialised orders with all suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and expected date of delivery
- Oversee the write-off process and review, approve or escalate stock write off procedures and requests
- Work with Accounts Payable to support and resolve billing and invoice discrepancies with suppliers.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, inventory, supply chain management, logistics or a related field
- 3+ Years of experience working in a similar role
- Proficiencies in computer-based programs including Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management and supplier management
