About the role
As the Manager - Procurement at Mackay Sugar, you will lead the procurement function in the delivery of both operational and strategic objectives. You take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations, and implementing change. The role is key to leading the company in securing quality suppliers of materials and services with the objective of improving the value and quality of product and service provided.
This senior management role will work with an experienced team and lead the vision of our employee experience strategy to make Mackay Sugar a great place to work and ensure a comprehensive, robust, and streamlined approach across the employee experience.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience working in a similar role, in a large-scale, complex, fast paced environment.
- High commercial acumen and skilled negotiator
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Initiative and decision making.
- Ability to work to timetables and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage various projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and lead change.
