Procurement Manager - Lead team and implement strategy
This large facilities maintenance and construction company has several key contracts with well-known organisations.
They now have a newly created role for a Procurement Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
Based just outside Perth CBD and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will support the business and its client network by developing and managing a procurement framework across Works, Services and Goods. You will be given full support from Senior Management to assist in shaping the team and business unit.
Key responsibilities:
Managing and inspiring a small team of capable Procurement Professionals
Managing Request for Tender (RFT) processes
Establishing strong business partner relationships to ensure mutual requirements are met
Providing guidance to the business, including budgeting, forecasting, risk management
Evaluating vendor performance ensures it meets or exceeds performance standards.
Devising procurement strategies to enable delivery of business unit goals
Conducting cost analysis and data retrieval and identifying improvements to be targeted
Skills:
5 years+ experience in a similar procurement role
Strong end-to-end best practice procurement process experience
High level of communication, negotiation and rapport building skills with stakeholders and suppliers
Proficiency in computer systems
Be a team player with good collaboration skills
This role offers you the perfect mix of management and hands-on strategic involvement and the career opportunities that come with a highly successful and established company. A salary in the region of $140k - $150k is on offer.
